You will be awakened in this 40m ² apartment by the sun and have until the evening a bright and friendly rest oasis which is designed for up to 3 people.
There are plenty of pots, crockery, cutlery and kitchen towels in the well-stocked kitchennette.
Bed linen and towels are included in the room rate. Free Wi-Fi, bicycle storage (lockable) and close to the house parking complete our offer.
And for the little ones upon request, a travel cot and a high chair is available free of charge.

If you are looking for accomodation in Gangelt, we warmly welcome you in our apartment (Ferienwohnung) “Kritzraedt”. We offer holiday flats that guarantee a relaxing stay and a perfect starting point for many sights and places of interest.
Gangelt is located directly at the border to the Netherlands in the far west of the Federal Republic of Germany. On the edge of the Rodebach-valley, our guesthouse offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, where you can enjoy your stay throughout the year.
Our Guesthouse is situated outside the city walls right at the entrance to the cross-border nature park Rodebach/Rodebeek which invites for hiking trips and discoveries in the adjacent nature.
Here you will find not only rest and relaxation, but also opportunities to expand your cultural knowledge. You can visit the nearby German cities like Heinsberg and Mönchengladbach. Or maybe Aachen? Here you can visit the three-country border point and be at the same time in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Cross-border places such as Sittard, Maastricht and Roermond invite you to explore the neighbouring Netherlands and Maaseik in Belgium.

Our apartment/holiday flat in Gangelt offers everything you wish for a relaxing holiday. On 40 square meters (430,57 squarefeet) we provide in our apartment “Kritzraedt” an open sleeping / living / dining area, a bathroom with separate toilet and a well-equipped kitchennette with two-zone hob.The sleeping area is equipped with two collapsible single beds and allows the accommodation of 2 guests. In this apartment you will be woken up by the sun and until the evening you will enjoy a bright and friendly recreational oasis.
Furthemore, there is a sofa bed in the living area, which is equipped with spring core and can be turned into an additional bed. Bedlinen, towels and kitchen towerls included. We are also well prepared for our little guests, they can use a travel cot (with a firm mattress), high chair, and light at no cost.
Free Wi-Fi, TV, Radio/CD Player, Blue Ray-player, board games and books will keep you entertained after an eventful day.
A perfect way to finish your day after a long hiking tour, is to relax outdoors with a view of the setting sun behind the adjacent mixed forest.
Alternatively you can end your days in the living-dining area, this room guarantees a cozy get-together with a seating and dining group for 3 people.
The provision of numerous household items for the kitchen facility in the apartment (Ferienwohnung) “Kritzraedt” supports a comfortable stay. In case you plan to extend your vacation, we also provide a washing machine and dryer for shared use between both apartements.
The apartment “Kritzraedt” offers a lockable storage for your bikes and a parking lot close to the house.
Excursions
Our apartments offer special accommodation all year long. The medieval city center of Gangelt with its narrow streets and medival buildings tell about world-famous personalities and is already worth a visit. The Cafe “Altes Rathaus” or one of the numerous restaurants invite you to stop by.
You also have the opportunity to cycle along the river Rodebach to the most western point of Germany. Or travel in a quieter pace through meadows and fields with one of the last narrow-gauge, historic steamtrain (Selfkantbahn) in Germany, followed by an interesting visit to on site located railway museum.
The Wild Animal Park Gangelt with a representative selection of European wild animals offers, not only for kids, an interesting destination. After a pleasant walk through the park, by watching plenty of wild animals, you can convince yourself about the kitchen of the restaurant and cafe “Haus Wildblick”.
For fun and coolness during the summer you will find a nearby miniature golf course, the “Kahnweiher” with boat rentals and a gorgeous outdoor pool with diving platform and two great slides.
Further attractions are playgrounds and various indoor swimming pools in the nearby surrounding, as well as indoor playgrounds are especially worth a visit for families.
